Over 40's

Captain
Jeremy Crampton

We have a full Wednesday fixture list of O40s fixtures, playing limited overs, usually 40 overs a side. We play World Golden Oldies rules, with batting and bowling restrictions which are aimed at ensuring that everyone gets a game, and no one player can dominate a match. The average age of our team is usually above 60 and we welcome new members.

Taverners

Captain
Julian Ward

Our Taverners play 20 over social cricket on Thursday evenings at 6.00pm from late May to early August.

Social and different are the correct words for this venue because it is a family evening with food and typical Taverners' habits but as far as the cricket is concerned everyone bowls two overs and has to retire at the end of the over when reaching a score of 25. To avoid any controversy we do not have LBW's and you cannot be out first ball. It all adds up to great fun at the club in summer. Everyone is welcome to join us!

Each week we have a different captain/manager and cook. Friendly bar staff are provided by David Fry and Tina Blackburn.
